Today, November 28, 2024, a representative of NAPD took part in the Forum “United Against Violence,” which took place in Kyiv.

The goal of the Forum was to identify priorities and develop recommendations to raise awareness of the relevant state policy and strategic directions of stakeholders on issues of gender-based violence (GBV), referring to proven methods and approaches within the context of Ukraine’s realities.

The tasks of the Forum and its participants included consolidating the efforts of stakeholders in a discussion about the level of awareness of GBV among the population of the country, discussing the actual situation of interaction between actors, and developing recommendations for their inclusion in decision-making in policy and advocacy.

Forum participants, including representatives from international and national organizations, discussed important topics related to combating violence against various categories of individuals. Issues regarding measures being taken to address violence and ensure zero tolerance in society were raised.

This was an important step towards better understanding the problem and implementing effective changes in the policy to combat violence.
